Mental Earth Staff
Hello I go by Eros or simply E on the Forums. I am the host of the site. I began as a member back in 2000 and eventually became owner. I look at myself as a member first, and an administrator second, seeking and giving support. I've come to love this community and consider it my virtual home. Its members are warm, caring and best of all, nonjudgmental.
Hi, I'm Warren but you can call me Warren. I am a full-time clinical psychologist practicing (till I get it perfect) in the Bronx, New York. I am old (64), married going on 40 years, have two children and three grandchildren who live accross the street from us on Roosevelt Island in the middle of the East River facing the eastern sky line of Manhattan. I am the founder of MEC (2002) but passed the ownership on to Richard (Eros) and technical control to Greg a few years ago because of the time constraints of my private practice. After over a year of little or no involvement at the site, I informed Richard that I wanted to become more active and so here I am again intruding these old bones back in the middle of everything. Just so we understand each other, I HATE CATS! Anyhow, glad to be back!
Take a look at my personal Web page (admittedly a bit dated) to get more background on me: Warren's Personal Web Site
I am Dazed n Confused, the Technical Administrator at MEC. I work mostly in the background like the man behind the curtain in the Wizard of Oz. I update the programs and make sure everyone has a trouble free experience at MEC.
I am diagnosed as BiPolar, although I have been in remission for the last 3 years due to the medication I take.
I began using the Internet back in 1994. I have always been in a position where I help others with their problems. Some of my Internet experiences include being a Liason for the SouthBeach neighborhood at GeoCities, where I helped others with their web site endeavors.
I was an IRC SysOp, teaching the IRCops and running an IRC server for one of the large IRC networks. I helped start CyberAngels, the Internet division of the Guardian Angels out of New York City. The CyberAngels teach Internet safety and how to get help if needed.
Moderators
Hello and welcome! I have been a moderator for several years. I joined MEC's predecessor, MHN, in about 2000 or so, when I was first diagnosed with bipolar disorder and going through some very rough times. The loving support I received help sustain me...so when MHN became MEC, I was one of the first to join. I moderate several forums here. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to send me a private message!
Hi all! I've been here since June 2004 and became a mod in early 2006. My official dx is dysthymia but like most people, my problems don't stop there. This place has been wonderful in helping me to open up and talk to others since I find it hard to decide who to trust with what in 3D. While I'm no tech wizard like Dazed, I'm more than happy to share what I know about how to use the site and I can also help convert photos. If you have some that you want to post or use as an avatar but they aren't in the proper format, let me know!
I'm Jezebel, a member and moderator since 2002. When I'm not moderating I enjoy baking and DVDs. I am unable to work due to my schizoaffective disorder, I consider volunteering for MEC my job. This site is my home, it has helped me though a lot of rough times, I hope I can do the same as a moderator for the members here.
Call me Jim. I have been around Mental Earth since about April 2005. Some of the people here are closer to me than actual family. I am an abuse survivor. Emphasis on the word Survivor. My son John is disabled and lives with me almost all the time. He is a ray of sunshine to me and a damn good reason to keep trying to get ahead.
I love music and have a DVD movie collection that is way too large. I am always up early and you will find me in and out most of each day. I could be hired for free to do a testimonial for MEC as I have very strong feelings about this place and all of the wonderful people that visit here.
Hi, I'm PlanetX. I am a Forum Moderator. You can usually find me in the Schizophrenia Forum. I am often here at odd hours too as I live in the southern hemisphere. So if I can help, just let me know.

I'm Skye, and have been coming to MEC since its inception with a small hiatus away at one point. Prior to MEC, I was a regular at MHN since 1997, and have been a Moderator for many years (off and on).
My diagnoses were dissociative disorder NOS (NOS = not otherwise specified), self-injury, and burnout (due to my career at the time). Those were the reasons why I sought out MHN all those years ago, and kept coming back. I am no longer affected by the disorders, thankfully: I last self-injured in July 1997, and I finished therapy for dissociative disorder in April 1998 after having recovered from it. The first few years after recovery were up & down, but for the last several years I've been doing very well and life is rich and full again.
I'm happy to be of help in any way I can, and to be part of MEC with all of its friendly, supportive people.
